Sam's Club Launches Holiday Catering Program

Giving caterers the essential products, services and ideas to execute a successful holiday catering season

BENTONVILLE, Ark., August 14, 2008—Sam’s Club® has expanded its offering for caterers to help them plan their menus and execute a winning catering business this holiday season. The holiday catering program provides caterers with the resources they need to maximize success with holiday parties and New Year’s Eve celebrations, including on-trend menu planning solutions, essential catering supplies and seasonal décor. Sam’s Club also provides Gold Key Hours exclusively for business Members, Click ’n’ Pull® and Fax ’n' PullSM services and credit card processing services.

“We’re pleased to make our business Members in the catering community feel right at home in our locations,” said Catherine Corley, vice president of marketing and insights at Sam’s Club. “Our goal is not only to keep the essential items in stock at everyday low costs, but also help caterers present elegant parties at prices they, and their clients, can afford, especially during these tough economic times.”

A key component of the Sam’s Club catering program is a holiday catering brochure, featuring a variety of seasonal menuing ideas—such as assorted hors d’oeuvres stations—and execution ideas for the eventful holiday season. The brochure offers select tips on buffets on a budget, green catering, health and wellness and more.

Sam’s Club provides caterers with fabulous foods from select cuts of choice meats to premium beverages, seasonal décor and supplies—even cooking and prep equipment by top manufacturers—all at exceptional values. Business Members can shop when they want or order online, or fax orders by 5 p.m. and pick them up the very next day. And unlike most foodservice distributors, Sam’s Club doesn’t require long-term contracts or minimum purchases. Caterers can simply buy what they need.
