Italian Chicken Hoagie

Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 1/4 lbs. Member’s Mark® Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast
- 3/4 tsp. each salt and pepper
- 1 Tbsp. garlic, sliced
- 1 1/2 cups onions, thinly sliced
- 1 1/2 cups red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
- 3 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. red chili flakes
- 8 slices Castle Wood Reserve™ Baby Swiss Slices
- 4, 12” White Hoagie Rolls
Cooking Directions
- Preheat broiler.
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper and red chili flakes.
- Heat olive oil in large frying pan. Add seasoned chicken and garlic. Sauté about 10 minutes or until chicken is browned and cooked through. Remove from pan and set aside
- Add onions, bell pepper and Italian seasoning to the pan. Sauté about 8 minutes or until onions are browned.
- Add chicken back into the pan, along with the balsamic vinegar. Sauté about 2 minutes to warm through. Slice each breast into 4 to 6 pieces.
- Meanwhile, slice hoagie rolls and butter both sides. Put a slice of Swiss cheese on each side and heat under the broiler for 3 to 4 minutes to melt the cheese.
- Remove hoagies from the oven and pile each with the sliced chicken and Italian veggies. Serve immediately.
