Steaks with Mushrooms
Top your skillet-cooked steak with sautéed mushrooms for an easy way to add a restaurant-style presentation.
- 2 boneless beef sirloin steaks (5 oz. ea.)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 cup(s) sliced fresh mushrooms
- Rub both sides of steaks with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, cook steaks in butter until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a meat thermometer should read 145°F; medium, 160°F; well-done, 170°F). Remove and keep warm.
- In the same skillet, sauté mushrooms until tender. Serve with steaks.
