For moms on the go
With a new, busier routine, getting meals on the table fast is more important than ever. Here are some tips to help you out.
Tips Set:
Breakfast on the go
It’s the most important meal of the day, but life in the fast lane too often means skipping breakfast. These delicious ideas will ensure that you begin the day with a nutritious start that carries you through lunch and gets you out the door on time.
- Orange-buttermilk Waffles with Orange-blueberry Sauce. Make waffles on the weekend and stash extras in the freezer so they’re ready to pop in the toaster on weekday mornings for a quick breakfast (See recipe).
- Orange-banana Protein Shake. Breakfast in a glass is super fast and convenient. Add nutritious fruit, yogurt and a couple of scoops of protein powder and you’re charged for the morning (See recipe).
Easy weeknight suppers
Summer is fading, the first day of school isn’t far off and the calendar is already getting busy with weeknight activities. Even as things rev up, make sharing family suppers a priority and make them possible by preparing these easy main dishes in advance. Make extra and you’ll have the next day’s lunch prepared, too.
- Twisted Chicken Tetrazzini. A snap to prepare in advance, this family-favorite uses rotisserie chicken as a convenient, time-saving ingredient (See recipe)
- Mexican Chicken Wraps. The best thing about wraps is that everyone loves them—for dinner or lunch. To streamline dinnertime, lay out all ingredients assembly-line style and everyone can make their own wrap, then come to the table together for a fun family meal (See recipe).
