Bentonville, AR -- SAM’S Club today celebrates the grand opening of a new 128,000-square-foot warehouse club located at 8621 Ohio Drive in Plano, Texas. This club joins 53 SAM’S Club locations in the state of Texas.
The Plano SAM’S Club will offer more than 4,000 items, feature a Club Cafe, an Optical Department, a fresh Floral, Bakery and Meat Department and an Embroidery Center. In addition, the club will have a Pharmacy and a 1-Hour Photo Lab. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m. on August 10. The SAM’S Club will open for business on Thursday, at 5:00 p.m. Regular club hours will be Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m., Saturday 9:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Last year, Texas SAM’S Clubs raised and contributed more than $2.2 million to area non-profit organizations. Nationally, SAM’S Club participates with the Children’s Miracle Network, United Way fund drives and Get Caught Reading with SAM’S Club, a national campaign to promote Literacy. In the state of Texas, SAM’S Club and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. contributed more than $13.8 million to local non-profit organizations.
