Sam's Club Opens Port St. Lucie Location
Celebration Includes Media Sneak Peek, Community Grant Presentations and Business Member Preview

BENTONVILLE, ARK., January 18, 2007 –Sam’s Club, a division of Wal-Mart Stores Inc., and one of the nation’s largest warehouse clubs will open at 10900 South U.S. Hwy. #1 in Port St. Lucie.

An exclusive tour for the news media is planned at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 23, during which ten local charities and community organizations will receive grants totaling $24,000. Business Members are invited to attend a breakfast and club preview Wednesday, January 24. Club Grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremonies begin at 9:45 a.m., Thursday, January 25 with a unique visit from the Coast Guard.

Some of the Port St. Lucie Sam’s Club new features include:
  • Expanded Member services that include photo, optical and pharmacy.
  • On site gas station
  • Outside, a new Sam’s Club logo graces the entry as part of an effort to refresh and update branding.
Sam’s Club offers a variety of services including health insurance, merchant credit card processing and travel services as well as other programs. Both Business and Advantage Members can save even more on club services and purchases with a Plus Membership earning up to two percent cash back by using a Sam’s Club Discover card.

Regular Club hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Gold Key Hours for business members are 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
