Bentonville, Ark., April 23, 2007 – Sam’s Club® members comprised more than 70 percent of the Small Business Association’s 2007 Small Business Week Champion Awards. In addition, 26 of the top businesses to be recognized by the SBA as state winners are also Sam’s Club members. The awards, presented in Washington, DC April 23 – 24, honor the small business accomplishments of individuals and business owners across the nation.
The Champion Awards recognize both individuals and organizations for their achievements on behalf of small business, including minority, women and veteran-owned small businesses.
As a co-sponsor of the SBA’s annual Small Business Conference since 2003, Sam’s Club will participate in many aspects of the event including the Champions and Lender Awards reception Monday, April 23 and a luncheon honoring State Small Business Award Winners Tuesday, April 24.

Sam’s Club is hosting a special appreciation breakfast for small business owners and entrepreneurs on Wednesday, April 25 from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., at its 580 locations nationwide. Attendees will receive sample products, have an opportunity to network with other business leaders and each Sam’s Club will recognize itsTop Business Member of the Year.
