Sam's Club Opens Bristol Location
New Club Focuses on Unparalleled Selection and Services

BENTONVILLE, ARK., September 6, 2007 –Sam’s Club, a division of Wal-Mart Stores Inc., will open a new facility at 13249 Lee Highway in Bristol, Virginia 24202.

Business Members are invited to attend a breakfast and club preview Wednesday, September 12. The Grand opening is scheduled Thursday Sept. 13 at 9:15 a.m. during which seven local charities and community organizations will receive grants totaling $37,000. Ribbon cutting ceremonies will follow immediately with the club opening at 10 a.m. NASCAR’s Nextel® Cup Series driver Kasey Kahne will appear for pictures and autographs on Thursday at 11 a.m. as part of the Sam’s Club grand opening celebration.

“This is an exciting time in our local history and we are looking forward to be serving the growing needs of the tri-cities community with a new Sam’s Club,” said Bryan Heid, club manager. “We appreciate the support of our existing Members in the area and we are looking forward to assisting them in our new location by continuing to meet their needs for business and home. We are proud to offer value in our selection of fresh foods, brand name electronics, jewelry and exciting treasure hunt items. In addition, we expect to be better able to serve the growing number small businesses in the tri-cities and to them help cut costs and achieve further success.”

Some of the Bristol Sam’s Club new features include:
• LED (light-emitting diode) lights in the freezer/coolers and jewelry section enhance merchandise display and require only a fraction of the electricity used by standard lamps and reduce maintenance.
• Additional skylights to maximize the use of natural daylight.
• A Member’s only gas station.
• Outside, a new Sam’s Club logo graces the entry as part of an effort to refresh and update branding.

Sam’s Club offers a variety of services including health insurance, merchant credit card processing solutions, Web site development. In additional the warehouse Club encourages business members to take advantage of Gold Key hours weekdays from 7 – 10 a.m. as well as Fax-n-Pull and Click-n-Pull services which provide time savings. Both Business and Advantage Members can save even more on club services and purchases with a Plus Membership earning up to two percent cash back by using a Sam’s Club Discover card.

Regular Club hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Gold Key Hours for business members are 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
