Deptford Sam's Club Relocation Includes Fuel Station

Club Opens Just in Time for Fall Entertaining and Tailgating

BENTONVILLE, ARK., August 25, 2008 –Sam’s Club, a division of Walmart Stores Inc., with 10 Clubs in New Jersey will open a new facility at 2000 Clements Bridge Rd. in Deptford, N.J. after a relocation that adds a fuel station, pharmacy and rotisserie.

Grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremonies begin at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, September 10. At noon, Philadelphia 76ers superstar Thaddeus Young will be on-hand to sign autographs for Members and guests.

Grants will be presented to four local charities and community organizations totaling $15,000 on September 9 at 8:00 a.m. Immediately following the check presentation, Sam’s Club is offering an exclusive media tour. Throughout the morning, 7:00 a.m. to noon, Business Members are invited to shop and learn more about Fax-n-Pullsm, Gold Key Hours and other services to help their businesses thrive.

“We are excited to open this new Sam’s Club in Deptford. Our Members have been very supportive during our relocation,” said Daren Goodroe, Club Manager. “Our existing location has served this community for 17 years, and now we are turning the page with a fantastic new Club that offers services like pharmacy, fuel and rotisserie. We are also conveniently located and expect our Deptford Members will save time and gas by shopping Sam’s Club for all their home and business needs. I have enjoyed my time here in Deptford, and I look forward to many more years with our Members in this new location.”

The festivities will continue throughout the month with a 3M simulator car available Thursday, September 11 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and an appearance from former Philadelphia Eagles star and inspiration for the film, “Invincible,” Vince Papale, Saturday, September 20 at noon.

New features provide added convenience for Members with tremendous savings on prescriptions, glasses, digital prints and home meal solutions. Some of the Deptford Sam’s Club new features include:

  • Optical Center
  • Rotisserie
  • One hour photo center
  • Fuel station

Both Business and Advantage Members can save even more on club services and purchases with a Plus Membership earning up to two percent cash back by using a Sam’s Club Discover card.

Regular Club hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Gold Key Hours for Business Members are 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
