BENTONVILLE, Ark., Nov. 24, 2008—Sam’s Club released its official Thanksgiving advertisement today scheduled for distribution in newspapers nationwide Thursday, Nov.27, and announced it’s passing on more than $3 million in additional savings on toys reducing some prices to as low as $10.
Sam’s Club opens at 5 a.m. Friday, Nov. 28 and will host a complimentary breakfast during its members-only shopping event to kick off the holidays with the gifts everyone wants such as an exclusive Nintendo Wii™ Family Bundle for $425 that includes a console, three remotes, three controllers and three games. From electronics to jewelry, stocking stuffers and beyond, Sam’s Club has more than 30 special items it’s featuring in club and online at samsclub.com during the event. Non members are welcome to shop after 10 a.m. Friday but a 10 percent service fee may apply to any purchases or they can join the club before Nov. 27and receive a $10 gift card good at the event and into the holidays.
The back cover of the newspaper insert advertisement is dedicated to toys and includes the Nintendo DS™ in Metallic Rose complete with two games, stylus, carrying case and bling kit for $199.88 as well as Poingo™ the interactive storybook set that comes with four Disney favorites including the Lion King, Pooh’s Wishful Thinking, Finding Nemo and the World of Cars for $37.62. Sam’s Club is also reducing prices on other unadvertised secret toys and will offer more than a dozen items at the $10, $15, $20 and $25 range including Little Tikes Handle Haulers for $10, Littlest Pet Shop VIP Plush Twin Packs for $15, board game favorites Monopoly and Clue for $20, and the new Indiana Jones Crystal Skull play set for $25.
Also highlighted in the advertisement is the Sharp Aquos 1080P 52 inch widescreen LCD high definition TV for $1,384. Sam’s Club has several other flat panel HDTV’s listed in the ad as well the latest Blu-Ray Movies for $10.87. Gifts for her include designer watches for $39.87 or a silver cuff bracelet with gold accents for $148.58 to diamond stud earrings in a variety of carat weights.

Last week Sam’s Club sold several exclusive and one-of-a-kind holiday gifts online in seconds including a $9,500 package to the premiere of Twilight and a speaking role on As the World Turns combined with a Critics’ Choice Awards Experience in Los Angeles for $13,500. In addition, the first electric super car by Hybrid Technologies sold for $100,000 and four lucky fans also gobbled up a Kenny Chesney concert in Dallas for $9900. Still to come December 8 an exclusive Elvis Presley Graceland Trip will be offered on samsclub.com for $7,800.
