Sam's Club® Hosts Last Minute Holiday Gift and Food Event

$100 Gift Card on Select Items and Meal Solutions for Under $10 per person

BENTONVILLE, Ark., Dec. 16, 2008—Sam’s Club is hosting a special event in all U.S. clubs Dec. 19-21 to help weary consumers complete their holiday. Themed “set the table for less and stuff the stockings with more,” Sam’s continues to deliver “Black Friday values” just days before Christmas including a $100 gift card on select electronic purchases and a $10 gift card offer for new members who join or choose the gift of membership for others before Dec. 21.

In a recent survey of 6,500 Sam’s Club members, more than 40 percent indicated they were not done with their holiday shopping compared to 30 percent last year. “As Christmas gets closer, consumers are continuing to look for value on food and gifts as well as time saving solutions to wrap up their holiday plans,” said Charles Redfield, senior vice president, Merchandise at Sam’s Club. “Now more than ever, businesses and families are counting on us to help them save on the things they need and want.”

During the event, Sam’s Club will provide free samples of holiday meal solutions and has dedicated merchandise displays for last minute gifts starting at $10 including gift baskets, toys, books and movies. For the table, feed a party of eight for under $10 per person with Ridge Creek Spiral-Sliced Smoked Ham for $1.88 per pound, green bean casserole, rolls, one bottle of wine and cheesecake for dessert. This weekend, Sam’s Club also has USDA Choice whole beef tenderloin for $8.88 per pound as well.

Holiday shoppers looking to give as well as receive will appreciate the Sam’s Club $100 gift card offer on select electronic purchases including the HP Pavillion 14 inch Notebook for $899 or a Samsung 40 inch LCD TV for $1098, among others. The $100 gift card can be used on something special or over several shopping trips.
