Sam’s Club® Helps to Make Holiday Shopping Simple and Convenient

Sam’s Club, the nation’s eighth largest retailer and a leading membership warehouse club, announced today starting November 21, all Club locations across the country will offer special extended hours to help make holiday shopping an easy and pleasant experience. Sam’s Club has also developed holiday shopping tips and information to help members stay informed and organized during the busy holiday season. “The holidays can be a hectic time of year, so to help make the shopping experience a bit easier, Sam’s Club is expanding its shopping hours and offering great deals on the season’s most popular gifts,” said Marybeth Cornwell, senior vice president, Home and Apparel at Sam’s Club. “Sam’s Club is also hosting exclusive in-Club events throughout the season for members to provide tips, solutions and inspiration to make their family gatherings memorable."

 Holiday Shopping at Sam’s Club

To ensure that members are informed about Sam’s Club activities during the holiday season, outlined below are answers to Club members’ most commonly asked questions.

  • What are Sam’s Club’s hours during the holiday season?

To make holiday shopping even more convenient for members, Sam’s Club will be open during the following hours through Dec. 31, 2010:

  • Nov. 21 – Dec. 18:Monday through Friday, Gold Key and Early Shopping Hours are 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and regular Club hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sam’s Club will be open on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays through Dec. 12, Sam’s Club will be open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Nov. 25 (Thanksgiving Day):All Clubs will be closed, but is available 24 hours a day with hot deals on the latest gifts.
  • Nov. 26 (Day After Thanksgiving):Sam’s Club will be open exclusively for members during the annual “Day After Thanksgiving” Event between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m., where they can get access to dozens of special items as well as a complimentary breakfast. Non- members are welcome to join that day or visit at 10 a.m. A 10 percent service fee applies to nonmember purchases. Sam’s Club closes at 9 p.m.
  • Dec. 20 – Dec. 23:Sam’s Club will be open to all members from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve): Sam’s Club will be open to all members from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Dec. 25 (Christmas Day):All Clubs will be closed.
  • Dec. 26:Sam’s Club will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Dec. 27 – Dec. 30:Sam’s Club will be open from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Dec. 31 (New Year’s Eve):Sam’s Club will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Jan. 1 (New Year’s Day):All Clubs will be closed.


  • What is Sam’s Club’s Day After Thanksgiving Event?

In addition to opening all Clubs at 5 a.m., Sam’s Club will serve free hot coffee and breakfast to members and offer great values on dozens of selected holiday gifts ranging from electronics to apparel to jewelry, available exclusively to Sam’s Club members. Leading up to the “Day After Thanksgiving” Event, Sam’s Club will send e-mail alerts to give members a sneak peak on special holiday items.


  • What is the hottest gift for the holidays?

This year, some of the most popular purchases include home entertainment, electronics and food items as consumers continue to spend time at home with family and friends. Throughout the holiday season, Sam’s Club will offer great values on the hottest gifts this season, including designer watches, fragrances, spa and golf gift cards and video games for Wii and Nintendo DS.
